As an end-to-end application monitoring tool for the z/OS environment, ServicePilot NBA for z/OS provides real-time visibility into network behavior so that administrators can proactively optimize their networks. It employs a passive probe to monitor IP traffic flowing through the IP dataspace. NBA for z/OS uses Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technology to search for specific content in the data, detect suspicious connections, and protect against malicious traffic on the network. This important feature allows users to trouble-shoot specific transaction data errors and defines where to start searching for a pattern within a packet.

Exceptional Reporting
ServicePilot NBA for z/OS provides real-time and historical reporting data via a Web interface or PDF format. There are a wide range of standard or customizable reports that are easy to use. You can click on the graphs or tables and drill-down to the details.

Data from NBA for z/OS can be archived for business trend analysis and future reference. It can also be exported into other tools and reports.

Real-Time Intrusion Detection and Policy Enforcement

NBA for z/OS uses Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) technology to search for specific content in the data. It analyzes network traffic, logs activity, detects matches against user-defined rules, and sends alerts. You can trouble-shoot specific transaction data errors and determine where to start searching for a pattern within a packet. ServicePilot NBA for z/OS also detects unauthorized devices, applications or users, to significantly reduce compliance costs.
