# Cisco Disaster Recovery System

This package monitors a Cisco Disaster Recovery System analysing the cluster-level backup result summary files (*_drfComponent.xml) centralized and archived on a storage device.

This package automatically configures a ServicePilot Agent to collect statistics from the storage device in terms of number of recovery operations (features and components) based on an SFTP collection to get and then analyze _drfComponent.xml files.

  • Network Flows - It is is necessary to ensure network connectivity between the ServicePilot Agent and the SFTP Server on the storage device. In case of a network infrastructure using a firewall, the ports below must be opened:

    • TCP/22 (SSH-SFTP): Between ServicePilot Agent and SFTP Server
  • ServicePilot Requirements

    • ServicePilot Manager minimum version: 8.5

Before adding a resource to monitor, make certain that all pre-requisites are in place and that ServicePilot Agent is communicating correctly with the ServicePilot Manager.

Add resource using Views Configuration web interface

  1. As an administrative user of ServicePilot, open the ServicePilot web interface.
  2. Navigate to Administration. The Configuration > Views web page will open.
  3. Click on the view in which to place the new resource in the Views hierarchy on the left of the interface. The View editor section will show the existing view contents.
  4. From the Packages list on the right of the interface, click and drag the voip-cisco-disaster-recovery-system package into the View editor and let go.
  5. The Resource properties dialog box will open to allow resource configuration.
  6. Click OK to close the Resource properties dialog box. Note that the dialog box will not close if required parameters are not set.
  7. Click Save to apply the new resource to ServicePilot configuration.
  8. Check if an Object has been created in your map for each Server on which the Cisco Disaster Recovery System has performed a backup and that indicators are populated. The first statistics will be returned after the next cluster-level backup operation (pay attention to frequency!)

Key field notes

In the Monitoring Policies tab, specify the policy or policies to apply to the resource. At least, a SNMP Policy must be set.

  1. Basic Parameters tab :

    1. Enable Summary Statistics: Check to get summary details for the entire cluster.
    2. Polling Frequency (sec): The frequency in seconds at which data collection is performed.
  2. SFTP Parameters tab:

    1. SFTP Server IP: The IP address of the SFTP server hosting the *_drfComponent.xml files.
    2. Port: The TCP port of the SFTP server hosting the *_drfComponent.xml files.
    3. User: The user name used when accessing the SFTP server.
    4. Password: The password used when accessing the SFTP server.
    5. SFTP Path: The path to the *_drfComponent.xml files on the SFTP server.
    6. Local Folder: Optionally define a path on the machine running the ServicePilot Agent in which to place to downloaded files. This directory must exist. If this parameter is not set, an automatic temporary directory will be used.
