What is Microsoft Lync 2013 Back End SQL ?
Microsoft Lync 2013 VoIP environments include built-in Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).
Depending on your Microsoft Lync 2013 pool design, there are couple of places that MSSQL databases are usually installed.
In the case of an Enterprise Edition Front end Pool, Master databases (called RTC) are installed on a dedicated SQL backend server and a read-only copy of the master is installed locally on each front end server (called RTCLOCAL).
