What is ProofPoint Security Server ?

ProofPoint Security is developed by ProofPoint Inc., an American enterprise security company. ProofPoint Products are designed to solve three business problems:

• Advance cyber-security threats
• Regulatory Compliance
• Brand-impostor fraud (also called "digital risk")

These products work across email, social media, mobile devices, and the cloud.

ProofPoint Security Server monitoring

This package is designed to monitor a ProofPoint Security Server appliance. Statistics are collected for a single ProofPoint appliance, showing an overview of the emails traffic, together with system information.

Statistics are also collected for the different interfaces present on the device. Interfaces are automatically discovered and added to the monitoring environment.

This package automatically configures the ServicePilot Agent to collect statistics from the ProofPoint Security Server based on SNMP collection. The different statistics gathered this way include:

• System
• MTA
• Network Interfaces (will be automatically discovered)
• Filesystems (will be automatically discovered)
• Main Application Processes (will be automatically discovered)

How to install a proofpoint-security resource?

1. Use your ServicePilot OnPremise installation or a SaaS account.
2. Add a new proofpoint-security resource via the web interface (/prmviews or /prmresources) or via API (/prmpackages page), the default ServicePilot agent or another agent will be provisioned automatically.
