What is Sun Solaris Server?

Sun Solaris is a proprietary enterprise UNIX operating system, developed by Sun Microsystems (now Oracle since 2008).

This package is designed to monitor an Oracle Sun Solaris Server using SNMP.

This package automatically configures the ServicePilot Agent to collect statistics from the Sun Solaris Server on which the SNMP service has been installed and configured. The statistics gathered in this way include:

  • System: CPU and Memory utilization
  • Storage: logical lisk utilization (Optional)
  • Network: interface status and utilization (Optional)

The Sun Solaris Server (SNMP) package supports all distribution which allow access to RFC1213-MIB and HOST-RESOURCES-MIB.

How to install a sun-solaris resource?

  1. Use your ServicePilot OnPremise installation or a SaaS account.
  2. Add a new sun-solaris resource via the web interface (/prmviews or /prmresources) or via API (/prmpackages page), the default ServicePilot agent or another agent will be provisioned automatically.

Details of the sun-solaris package are located in the /prmpackages page of the software.
