What is Azure SQL Elastic Pool?
Azure SQL Elastic Pool is a resource pool of databases with a shared set of resources. It allows managing multiple databases with varying and unpredictable workloads under a single pool of resources, rather than provisioning resources for each database individually. Resources within the pool are dynamically allocated to databases based on demand, ensuring optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.
It is suitable for scenarios where you have multiple databases with fluctuating usage patterns, allowing you to consolidate resources and reduce costs while maintaining performance and scalability.
