What is an Azure Disk?
Azure Disk provides durable and high-performance block storage for virtual machines, applications, and data workloads running in Azure. It offers two types of disks: Managed Disks and Unmanaged Disks.
Managed Disks abstract the management of storage accounts and provide simplified disk management, while Unmanaged Disks require manual management of storage accounts. Azure Disks are available in various types and performance tiers, including Standard HDD, Standard SSD, Premium SSD, and Ultra Disk, allowing you to choose the right disk type based on your performance and cost requirements.
