How to monitor AZURE?

What is Microsoft Azure Cloud?

Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service operated by Microsoft for application management via Microsoft-managed data-centers. It provides software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and supports many different programming languages, tools, and frameworks, including both Microsoft-specific and third-party software and systems.

Created in 2010, Microsoft Azure uses large-scale virtualization at datacenters worldwide to offer more than 600 services including Mobile Services, Storage, Communication, etc.

Microsoft Azure Cloud monitoring

This package automatically configures the ServicePilot Agent in order to monitor availability and performance of several Microsoft Azure resources and services with the Microsoft APIs.

ServicePilot can collect metrics for various services:

  • Management (Monitor, Resources deployments, Recovery and Backup status...)
  • Network (ExpressRoute, network interfaces...)
  • Storage (Availability, number of transactions, volume used...)
  • Virtual Machines (Status, CPU, Disks, Network...)
  • Databases (Status, sizes,...)
