What is Pulse Secure?

Pulse Secure is an SSL VPN (Secure Sockets Layer Virtual Private Network) solution provided by Ivanti, an IT software company. The solution aims to enhance and secure remote access, enabling secure connectivity and network access control (NAC) across various devices through a unified platform.

Pulse Secure supports a variety of authentication methods and provides extensive access control capabilities, allowing businesses to implement granular access policies. It also ensures end-to-end encryption of data in transit, offering an additional layer of security.

How to monitor Pulse Secure Appliances?

ServicePilot makes it very easy to monitor a Pulse Secure Appliance. Simply configure the SNMP interface of the Pulse Secure device. Then use the ServicePilot web interface to add a resource from the ServicePilot security-pulse-secure package.

The monitoring statistics gathered in the way include:

  • Connection and Users: SSL, VPN, Mail, Web.
  • System: CPU, Memory, Disk, Temperature, etc...

All active interfaces will be automatically discovered.

How to install a pulse-secure resource?

  1. Use your ServicePilot OnPremise installation or a SaaS account.
  2. Add a new pulse-secure resource via the web interface (/prmviews or /prmresources) or via API (/prmpackages page), the default ServicePilot agent or another agent will be provisioned automatically.

Details of the pulse-secure package are located in the /prmpackages page of the software.
