How to monitor a Cisco Ironport?

ServicePilot makes it very easy to monitor Cisco IronPort equipment. Simply configure the SNMP interface of the Cisco IronPort device. Then use the ServicePilot web interface to add a resource from the ServicePilot security-ironport package.

The statistics gathered in this way include:

  • Network: Ping Response Time and Interfaces activity
  • System: CPU and memory
  • Raid Drives and Keys statistics

How to install a ironport resource?

  1. Use your ServicePilot OnPremise installation or a SaaS account.
  2. Add a new ironport resource via the web interface (/prmviews or /prmresources) or via API (/prmpackages page), the default ServicePilot agent or another agent will be provisioned automatically.

Details of the ironport package are located in the /prmpackages page of the software.
