What is Sonus VX Series?
VX (Voice Exchange) Series platform is a voice over IP (VoIP) switch solution provided by Ribbon Communications (previously NET and Sonus). The VX Series is an integrated multi-service voice switch with gateway features.
The voice exchange solution provides interoperability with existing PBX and IP PBX systems while conformance to VoIP signaling and call control standards, such as SIP and H.323, guarantees interoperability within heterogeneous VoIP deployments.
How to monitor Sonus VX Series?
ServicePilot uses a combination of SNMP and the ServicePilot Agent to fully monitor Sonus VX Series with only minimal configuration required on target device. A resource of the voip-sonus-vx-series package then needs to be added via the ServicePilot web interface.
The statistics collected via SNMP include Peer reachability statistics and status.
The statistics collected using the ServicePilot agent via a Telnet CLI connection include:
- System information
- Memory usage
- Call statistics
- Trunk usage
How to install a sonus-vx-series resource?
- Use your ServicePilot OnPremise installation or a SaaS account.
- Add a new sonus-vx-series resource via the web interface (
/prmviews
or/prmresources
) or via API (/prmpackages
page), the default ServicePilot agent or another agent will be provisioned automatically.
